Here is a list of officials that our association would like to honor.  These officials have had several outstanding accomplishments throughout their officiating career.

 

 

Mark Wehrwein:  Received the District official of the Year and the State Football Official of the Year for Alabama 2008.  Umpire for the inaugural Champions Challenge 2007.  AHSAA State Camp Instructor 2006, 2007 & 2008.  Selected to attend the 2004 1st annual officials invitation camp at Auburn University. Tommy Locke:   2007 All-Star Umpire, Selected to attend the 2004 1st annual officials invitation camp at Auburn University.

Joe Lawrence:  2007 All-Star Umpire, Selected to attend the 2004 1st annual officials invitation camp at Auburn University.

Herb Larnerd:  State Camp Instructor 2004,  2006, 2007 & 2008.  District camp instructor 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.  Received the District football official of the year for the Northeast District and received the STATE FOOTBALL OFFICIAL OF THE YEAR FOR THE ENTIRE STATE 2003Super6.gifAHSAA Super 6 Referee 2003.

Rusty Graves:  District Camp Instructor 2004.

Tony Duncan: All-Star game Referee 2000.  Northeast District Football Official of the Year 2000.  District camp instructor 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.  Received the Distinguished Service Award in 2003.

Rod Moss:  District camp instructor 2007.Super6.gifAHSAA Super 6 Line Judge  2001.

Ray Gargus: AHSAA Camp Instructor 1992 - 1998.  Super6.gifAHSAA Super 6 Umpire 1996 (First Super 6 in Alabama). District Director 1999 - Present.

Don Baxter:  AHSAA Camp Instructor 1995 - 2000.  Super6.gifAHSAA Super 6 Umpire 1998. Super6.gifAHSAA Super 6 Alternate 2001.

Paul Daily:  All-Star game Line Judge 2000.  Super6.gifAHSAA Super 6 Alternate 2000.

Ray Lawrence: Super6.gifAHSAA Super 6 25 Sec. Clock Operator 2000,

Randal Burden:  All-Star game Linesman 1998.

 

Below is a listing of our officials that have attended the State Camp.  This camp last over 3 days and covers rules, mechanics and on the field performance evaluations.  It cost each official almost $200 for the camp.
